The guide for pension trustees

PMI

The Guide for Pension Trustees addresses all types of pension scheme, including hybrids. However, many readers will be involved with either a DB or a DC scheme and will need to know about issues that affect their scheme(s), whilst not wishing to read through material that has no application to them. To assist these readers, the Guide now includes colour coding of some text.

Defined Benefit (DB)

The text that has a blue background applies to DB schemes only. If your scheme has no DB element, you do not need to read the blue sections.

Defined Contribution (DC)

The text that has a pink background applies to DC schemes only. If your scheme has no DC element, you do not need to read the pink sections.

The rest of the text applies to both types of scheme, or contains items that all readers will need to consider, for example to provide an important comparison between scheme types.
